New Home Construction Begins at The Gardens of Gainesville

New home construction has begun at The Gardens of Gainesville, a McKibbon-Robison property.

The 3,200-square foot home is being built by Whitmire Custom Homes, a respected Gainesville home builder. It has five bedrooms and four baths, and features a master bedroom on the main floor with a walk-in shower.

“We’re excited about new home construction beginning at The Gardens,” said Steve McKibbon of McKibbon-Robison. “We are committed to seeing this downtown neighborhood completed properly and becoming at real asset for Gainesville.”

The Gardens, a 36-homesite neighborhood community located at Wessell and Piedmont Roads, was bought by McKibbon-Robison in 2010. McKibbon-Robison spent a year completing infrastructure work, including sidewalks and repaving damaged streets.

Street lights and solar-powered lights at the entrance were installed, landscape was added to traffic islands and a homeowners’ association has been established. A community area with a swimming pool and pavilion for residents was added last year.
